Educators value the involvement and support of parents, families and communities in schools.

Every 2 weeks I emailed home progress report with their status on the proficiency scale and also their work habits. These reports went to every student, but with one student in particular, emails were exchanged with the parent on the improvements that the students had made upon the parent’s request!

I have been coaching since I’ve been in high school which has been one of my commitments that I believe has supported the development of my teaching practice. I have developed my skills of relationship building, problem solving, conflict resolution, planning, and student motivation. The opportunity to coach has also allowed me to communicate and work with the families and guardians of athletes/students. Schools teams are also a big part of the school community. When one coaches, they are involved in the school community for all the success and complications that may arise with the team and members of the team.
