Differentiation was needed. Student is still capable of grasping content from the unit, however some high order level thinking skills were not attainable in the short period I was there. My coaching teacher encouraged me to try this format for their assessment, starting at the first goal of the proficiency scale, also marking this student with the same scale, but just one goal to reach to be proficient.
