Educators care for students and act in their best interests. Educators act ethically and maintain credibility and reputation of the profession.
The image in the left shows a chalk and talk about significance and continuity and change. Students first looked at their grade 8 year and assessed why they thought would remain significant about it in 10 years and why. Then, we looked nationally, and extended into a group discussion analyzing global events. The students demonstrated their beliefs and perceptions. On the right, we talked about what students understand to be of most benefit to the learning environment for their learning success. All students wrote on sticky notes, and the big 3 ideas (written on the board) became our classroom focus.
